Qualifications

• Expertise in data collection at synchrotrons or cryo-EM facilities and structure solution/refinement software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Structural Biologist to join their state-of-the-art research facility in Kimberley . This role is crucial for elucidating the three-dimensional structures of biological macromolecules, providing critical insights into their function and mechanisms. You will lead efforts in protein expression, purification, crystallization, and structure determination using techniques such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of protein biochemistry and structural biology methodologies, coupled with a proven ability to solve complex structural challenges and contribute significantly to drug discovery and biological understanding.
