Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Sports Facilities Operations Manager to oversee maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of its sports venues in Mahikeng. You will manage groundskeeping, maintenance schedules, event support, and staff supervision to ensure facilities meet high standards of safety, usability, and presentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Sports Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale sports facilities or complex operational environments.
• Experience in groundskeeping, building maintenance, and event logistics.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations for facility operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• CMMS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of sports facilities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee maintenance programs for fields, courts, buildings, and related infrastructure, ensuring timely repairs and upkeep.
• Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and security protocols across all facilities.
• Coordinate with event organizers, sports teams, and user groups to meet their facility requirements.
• Manage operational budgets, control expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Supervise and train facility maintenance staff, groundskeepers, and operational support personnel.
