Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Smart Contract Developer in Nelspruit to design, audit and optimize on-chain logic for decentralized applications. You will lead security reviews, improve gas efficiency and collaborate with architects to define contract specifications.

Bring 4+ years software experience with at least 3 years in smart contract development, expert Solidity, and familiarity with Hardhat, Truffle and Remix. Hybrid work enables office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of professional software development, with at least 3 years in smart contract development.
• Expert proficiency in Solidity and experience with other smart contract languages.
• Experience with blockchain development environments and tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, and Remix.
• Strong understanding of blockchain principles, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721), and DeFi protocols.
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and mitigating smart contract vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on blockchain platforms like Ethereum.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and security audits of smart contracts written by yourself and others.
• Optimize smart contract gas usage and overall performance.
• Collaborate with blockchain architects and developers to define contract specifications and architecture.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in smart contract development, security best practices, and relevant cryptographic techniques.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to establishing best practices for smart contract development.
