Responsabilités

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic force in the renewable Energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior Solar PV Project Manager to join their growing team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This role is integral to the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial site assessment and design to construction, commissioning, and handover. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in solar project management, a strong understanding of PV technologies, and a proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams. This position offers the chance to contribute directly to South Africa's transition to clean energy, working on impactful projects within the vibrant KwaZulu-Natal landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of utility-scale and commercial solar PV projects from origination to operation.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Oversee site selection, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for new solar developments.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and community representatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions proactively.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Project Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years focused specifically on solar PV projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale solar projects (5MW and above) from concept to completion.
• Strong understanding of solar PV technologies, system design, grid interconnection, and relevant South African regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and financial modeling tools.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Experience with EPC contract management and stakeholder engagement is essential.
• Knowledge of the energy market in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal is advantageous.
