Job summary

Placements24 is looking for an experienced Solar PV Installation Manager to lead installation teams in Soweto and surrounding areas, overseeing residential and commercial solar PV deployments and coordinating schedules for timely delivery.

You will drive safety, quality, and teamwork while managing timelines and collaborating with sales, procurement, and customer service to expand renewable energy access in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an installation manager or team lead in the solar PV industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar panel systems, inverters, battery storage, and electrical wiring.
• Experience with relevant safety regulations and best practices for working at heights and with electrical systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• A valid drivers license and willingness to travel within Soweto and Gauteng region.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all aspects of solar PV system installations, from site assessment and planning to final commissioning.
• Lead, train, and motivate installation teams, ensuring high productivity and adherence to quality standards.
• Develop and manage installation schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols on all installation sites, ensuring compliance with OHS regulations.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure all installations meet technical specifications and company standards.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and customer service departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
