About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Solar PV Installation Manager to oversee and direct the installation of photovoltaic systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients in the Upington region and surrounding areas. This role demands strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of solar installation best practices. You will be responsible for managing installation crews, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and efficient project completion. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the charge in renewable energy deployment in a key solar hub.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate daily activities of solar PV installation teams.
Ensure all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
Conduct site assessments and provide technical guidance for optimal system design and placement.
Order and manage inventory of materials and equipment for installations.
Liaise with clients, electrical contractors, and relevant authorities throughout the installation process.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during or after installation.

Requirements

Proven experience (5+ years) in solar PV installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
In-depth knowledge of solar panel systems, inverters, mounting hardware, and electrical wiring.
Experience with safety regulations and best practices for working at heights and with electrical systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
