Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the development and construction of large-scale solar farms in George, Western Cape. You will lead all phases from planning to handover, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and world-class quality.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in project management, with solar PV experience, PMP preferred, and willingness to relocate within the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of project management experience, with 4+ years in renewable energy solar PV.
• Experience managing projects > R100 million in value.
• Knowledge of solar farm design, construction, and grid connection.
• Willingness/ability to travel within Western Cape; PMP is advantageous.
• Reside in or willing to relocate to George.

Responsibilities

• Lead solar farm projects from inception to completion.
• Develop comprehensive plans with scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee site selection, permitting, and environmental assessments.
• Manage EPC contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure safety and quality on site.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Liaise with investors, government agencies, and communities.
• Prepare regular project status reports for senior management.
• Manage project financials and profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement in project execution processes.
