Job summary

Ovations Talent Sourcing seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Johannesburg for a 6-month contract. The role requires strong AWS cloud engineering, .NET/C# backend development, Angular frontend work, and DevOps expertise.

Responsibilities include designing scalable cloud architectures, building REST APIs and microservices, and implementing CI/CD pipelines with IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.

Qualifications

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong experience in AWS Cloud Engineering, .NET/C# Backend Development, Angular Frontend Development, and DevOps.

Key Skills AND Requirements

Cloud Engineering – AWS

• Design, deploy, and support cloud-native applications.
• Experience with EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Focus on scalability, security, and performance.

Backend Development – .NET/C#

• Build and maintain enterprise-grade applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
• Knowledge of modern software design patterns and secure coding practices.

Frontend Development – Angular

• Develop responsive and user-friendly web applications.
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, routing, state management, forms, and component-based architecture.

DevOps & Automation

• Implement CI/CD pipelines.
