Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Lead to guide the design, development, and implementation of scalable software. This fully remote role collaborates with a distributed team of engineers, product managers, and designers, with focus on supporting operations in Klerksdorp, North West, ZA.

The candidate will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, align roadmaps with product goals, enforce best practices, and ensure delivery of high-quality code in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• At least 3 years in technical leadership or management.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in a remote environment.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
