Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Upington to design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions powering core business operations. You will drive the full software lifecycle, from requirements and design to implementation and testing, while mentoring junior engineers and influencing direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computing.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or Go.
• Experience with SQL databases and ORM frameworks.
• Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with Agile methods and Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust software applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other developers to define requirements.
• Write clean, well-documented, thoroughly tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects and production issues.
