Placements24 is seeking a Senior Research Engineer in Vereeniging to drive research, development, and optimization of renewable energy technologies. You will design and test prototypes, develop models, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create scalable energy solutions.

Qualifications

PhD in energy engineering or related field with specialization in energy.
Minimum of 6 years of research and development experience in renewable energy.
Proven track record in designing, modeling, and testing energy systems.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and electrical principles relevant to energy technologies.
Experience with project management and leading technical initiatives.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced research into materials and methodologies for renewable energy generation and storage.
Design, build, and test prototypes of renewable energy components and systems.
