Job summary

The Rank Group plc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and evolve modern software solutions across front-end and back-end platforms. You will work closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, high-performance systems.

Applicants will have 5+ years in React/TypeScript frontend, strong .NET/C# backend capabilities, and solid SQL Server experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in React and TypeScript frontend development.
• Experience integrating frontend with RESTful APIs.
• Strong backend development with .NET/C#.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and practices.

In this role, you'll work closely with Product Managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to build innovative products, influence technical direction, and help shape the future of our technology landscape. You'll have the opportunity to lead by example, mentor engineers, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and technology decisions.

• Conduct code reviews and champion quality, performance, and maintainability standards.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and critical production incidents.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across systems, processes, and development practices.
• Lead technical initiatives and provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in React and TypeScript frontend development.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs.
• Strong backend development experience using .NET and C#.
• Experience working with MS SQL Server, including queries and stored procedures.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and practices.
