Placements24 in South Africa seeks a Senior Software Architect to shape the technical direction of its software systems in Kimberley. You will define the overall architecture, establish coding standards, and ensure scalability, reliability, and security across platforms.

You will collaborate with engineering, product management, and stakeholders to translate complex business needs into robust architectural designs, mentor teams, evaluate technologies, and lead high-impact initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in software development, at least 5 in a software architect role.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems and modern architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and document high-level software architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical strategies.
• Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across development teams.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for software development.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the SDLC.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks, ensuring system scalability, reliability, and security.
