Job summary

NKR Outsourced HR seeks an experienced Senior Social Worker / Community Social Work Coordinator to deliver professional social work services and strengthen community welfare programmes in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The successful candidate will oversee case assessment and management, home visits, referrals and documentation, while supporting volunteers and social work teams through supervision and training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional social work assessments, home visits, risk assessments, interventions, follow-ups and case closures.
• Manage complex and high-risk cases and make appropriate referrals to government departments, healthcare providers, NGOs and other service providers.
• Maintain accurate, confidential and complete case files, referral records and beneficiary databases.
• Prepare case summaries, professional reports, statistics and management reports.
• Assist with developing SOPs, checklists and case-tracking systems.
• Participate in community outreach, needs assessments and community development initiatives.
• Build effective relationships with community leaders, schools, government departments, NGOs, volunteers and other service providers.
• Develop and deliver training for volunteers on home visits, needs identification, documentation, confidentiality, safeguarding and referral processes.
• Provide professional guidance and case consultation to Social Auxiliary Workers, Community Workers, volunteers and Social Workers.
