Smart4Energy Talent is recruiting for a Senior Site Training Supervisor with a global mining organisation. This senior, hands-on role advances from Heavy Equipment Operator to operational training leadership and can develop safe, competent and productive mining operators.

Lead the site mining training team, deliver practical and theoretical operator training, and develop competency across AHS, electric rope shovels and heavy mining equipment.

Qualifications

• AHS experience with operational involvement and operator training.
• Extensive hands-on experience on Electric Rope Shovels, not just hydraulic excavators.
• 10+ years as a multi-skilled Heavy Equipment Operator.
• 5+ years managing operational training teams on mining/construction sites.
• 5+ years in Training Supervisor/Mining Supervisor or equivalent leadership role.
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or equivalent.
• Experience developing operator training programmes, conducting competency assessments and trainer development.
• Fluent English and strong safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site mining training team, delivering practical and theoretical operator training.
• Develop competency frameworks and training schedules across AHS, electric rope shovels and heavy mining equipment.
• Perform training-needs assessments and monitor performance.
• Collaborate closely with Mining Operations to optimise training outcomes.
