Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites around Durban. The role focuses on safety, quality, and timely completion, serving as the primary contact for site personnel, subcontractors, and project managers.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in site supervision, a construction management or civil engineering qualification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site supervision or foreman role.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work on multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedules.
• Enforce health and safety regulations with regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
• Manage site personnel, subcontractors and material delivery for efficient workflow.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to resolve site issues and implement design changes.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports and quality control documentation.
• Ensure site security and housekeeping.
