Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Site Engineer to lead on-site technical operations for projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will supervise engineering staff and trades, and act as the liaison between the design team and construction crew to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and Pr.Eng. registration, with a minimum of five years' site engineering or supervision experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) designation or equivalent registration is required.
Minimum of 5 years in site engineering or construction supervision is expected.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site management practices is required.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site engineering activities ensuring adherence to designs, specs, and schedules.
Provide technical guidance to the site team including foremen and supervisors.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct quality control inspections and testing to verify standards.
Manage procurement and inventory of construction materials and equipment on site.
