Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants in Paarl seeks an experienced Short-Term Insurance Administrator to manage personal and commercial portfolios, process new business and renewals, and provide exceptional client service.

You will prepare quotations, activation and compliance, handle cancellations, reinstatements, and amendments, and perform basic underwriting in line with insurer guidelines, using the Santam system and related tools.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with FAIS credits (60 credits at NQF4) and RE5 advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ short-term insurance experience.
• Knowledge of Santam systems.
• Computer literate with strong administration skills.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in Afrikaans and English.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure.
• Proactive, driven and able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal and commercial short-term insurance administration.
• Process new business, including quotations, activation and compliance.
• Service existing client portfolios and process policy amendments.
• Handle renewals, reinstatements and cancellations.
• Issue policies and quotations using the Santam system.
• Obtain and compare quotations from different insurance providers.
• Handle general and commercial insurance inquiries.
• Perform basic underwriting in line with insurer guidelines.
• Complete required compliance documentation.
• Provide client service and general administrative support.
