Job summary

Rural Connect in Pretoria seeks an experienced Security Supervisor with a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) and PSIRA Grade B. The role requires 3 years in security supervisory services, a Code B driver’s licence, and strong knowledge of access control and security acts.

Extensive travel is expected. Responsibilities include coordinating security implementation, conducting audits and risk assessments, managing security providers, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

Requirements

A relevant NQF level 6 (National Diploma) in Security Management, Three (3) years’ experience as Security Supervisory services environment. A valid PSIRA Grade B Certificate, The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s licence code B. Knowledge of the access control procedures. Knowledge of prescribed security procedures and relevant acts (e.g. Minimum Physical Security Standard (MPSS), Minimum Information Security Standard (MPSS), Protection of Information (Act) and Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA), Safety at Sports and Recreational Event Act (SAREA). Knowledge on the relevant emergency procedures. Understanding of programme and project management. Knowledge of financial management. People 129 management and empowerment. Good communication skills (both verbal and written).

Duties

Coordinate the implementation processes and procedures. Conduct security audit, threats and risk assessments and inspections.
