Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Sales Development Representative across South Africa to open doors and drive pipeline. You will own the top of the funnel by researching, sourcing, and booking meetings with decision makers, creating the first impression of Blacksmith to potential clients.

This role emphasizes thoughtful outreach, pattern recognition and smart communication using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, SalesLoft, Apollo and Salesforce to achieve volume goals while keeping touchpoints

Qualifications

• B2B sales experience preferred. Full-cycle closers who have carried a quota are welcome.
• 2 years in a similar SDR or BDR role, agency or SaaS experience a plus.
• Strong written communication and the ability to personalize outreach.
• Familiarity with outbound tools like Sales Navigator, SalesLoft, Apollo and ZoomInfo.
• Comfortable using Salesforce and managing your own pipeline.
• Gritty, curious and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Source and research ideal accounts based on our ICP.
• Identify decision makers and build accurate contact lists.
• Craft and execute personalized outbound sequences via email, LinkedIn and phone.
• Book qualified discovery calls for our Account Executives.
• Maintain clean records in Salesforce and SalesLoft.
• Test messaging, optimize targeting and tighten feedback loops with the sales team.
