Job summary

Collinson Group in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Salesforce MultiCloud Developer to lead design and implementation across Sales, Service, Loyalty Management, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud and related platforms.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive scalable integration patterns, and ensure quality with comprehensive test plans within an Agile delivery team.

The role requires deep Salesforce expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Salesforce development across CRM and Service Cloud.
• At least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• 6+ years of experience with JavaScript.
• Expertise in Apex, Lightning components, SOQL and SOSL.
• Experience with REST APIs and middleware integrations.
• Advanced knowledge of Salesforce Tooling and Metadata.
• Experience translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience architecting complex Salesforce integrations and customisations.
• Strong CRM, data modelling and software architecture foundations.
• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Salesforce Administrator and related credentials.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Salesforce DX.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and customisation of Salesforce solutions across CRM, Loyalty Management, Service Cloud and Agentforce.
• Utilise Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components and other Salesforce technologies to extend capabilities.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure functionality, performance and reliability.
• Perform unit and integration testing.
• Support user acceptance testing to validate solutions against requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Architect scalable, maintainable and flexible Salesforce solutions meeting business needs.
• Ensure solutions are optimally integrated with existing enterprise architecture.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews and architecture discussions as part of an Agile delivery team.
• Tackle complex technical issues with expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Design and implement robust integration patterns between Salesforce clouds and external systems.
• Lead the development of data models, sharing models and governance within Salesforce.
• Monitor, analyse and optimise performance of Salesforce solutions.
• Collaborate with Architects and technology teams to implement technical strategies.
• Guide the development team through complex coding and architectural decisions.
• Mentor and line-manage junior Salesforce developers and engineers.
• Promote best practices in coding, configuration and CI/CD.
• Keep up with latest Salesforce releases and innovations.
• Advocate for adoption of new tools and technologies.
