Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with specialized expertise in rotating equipment to join our client in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will lead design, specification, installation, and maintenance of pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery essential to operations.

You will develop technical specifications, conduct performance testing and RCFA, oversee installation and commissioning, ensure compliance with API/ISO and safety standards, and

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment in industry.
• Knowledge of vibration analysis and condition monitoring preferred.

Aufgaben

• Specify, select, and procure rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and agitators.
• Develop detailed technical specifications, datasheets, and maintenance procedures for rotating machinery.
• Conduct performance testing, vibration analysis, and RCFA on equipment.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and start-up of new rotating equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational issues related to rotating equipment.
• Ensure compliance with APIs, ISO standards and safety protocols.
