Placements24 is seeking a specialized Rotating Equipment Engineer for our client’s industrial facilities in Polokwane. This hybrid role blends on-site operations with remote analysis and reporting to ensure reliable operation of pumps, turbines, compressors and motors.

You will specify, install, maintain and troubleshoot rotating equipment, develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, perform vibration analyses, and support maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors).
• Knowledge of design principles, failure modes, and maintenance best practices.
• Experience with vibration analysis techniques and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Familiarity with API and industry codes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Specify, select, and procure rotating equipment based on process requirements and performance criteria.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for rotating machinery.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and start-up of new rotating equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Perform vibration analysis, performance testing, and other diagnostic activities to ensure optimal equipment health.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams and operations personnel.
