Placements24 currently seeks a Senior Roads Design Engineer for our client, a leading engineering firm, to join their design team in Mahikeng, North West. You will lead road design from feasibility to detailed design, coordinating with clients and authorities to deliver compliant, high-quality projects.

The role requires Pr Eng registration with ECSA, 8+ years in roads/highways design, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, PDS Vision, VISSIM, and SIDRA.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration as Pr Eng with ECSA required.
• Minimum 8 years of roads/highways design experience.
• Experience with SANRAL standards and tendering processes.
• Hybrid work setup with site visits in North West Province.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design of rural and urban road networks, highways, and intersections.
• Conduct geometric design, pavement design, and drainage design for road projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents using industry-standard software.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Liaise with clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers and technicians within the design team.
• Perform traffic analysis and impact assessments.
• Ensure designs comply with SANRAL standards and other relevant regulations.
• Conduct site visits for data collection, verification, and construction support as needed in Mahikeng.
