You will lead road design from feasibility to detailed design, coordinating with clients and authorities to deliver compliant, high-quality projects.

The role requires Pr Eng registration with ECSA, 8+ years in roads/highways design, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, PDS Vision, VISSIM, and SIDRA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration as Pr Eng with ECSA required.
• Minimum 8 years of roads/highways design experience.
• Experience with SANRAL standards and tendering processes.
• Hybrid work setup with site visits in North West Province.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of rural and urban road networks, highways, and intersections.
• Conduct geometric design, pavement design, and drainage design for road projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents using industry-standard software.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.

About the Role

Our client, a leading engineering firm engaged in transportation infrastructure development, is seeking a Senior Roads Design Engineer to join their vibrant team in Mahikeng, North West . This role involves the conceptualization, design, and documentation of road and highway projects, from initial feasibility studies through to detailed design. You will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure the technical excellence and timely delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of road design principles, traffic engineering, and relevant South African standards. This is a key position to contribute to the vital infrastructure growth within the North West Province and South Africa .

Key Responsibilities
