Job summary

Momentum is seeking an experienced professional to oversee retirement fund administration in line with regulatory and industry requirements. The role emphasizes client experience and adherence to treatment of customers fairly guidelines.

The incumbent will lead a team, manage claims processing, SLA adherence and risk controls while maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders and ensuring timely, accurate processing of member and employer queries.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• 6-8 years of Employee Benefits experience.
• Knowledge of Life Insurance products, services and industry legislation.
• Knowledge of Pension Funds Act and Treating Customers Fairly.
• 1-2 years of leadership experience will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Resolve escalated claim queries and ensure timely processing.
• Monitor and manage adherence to service level agreements.
• Coach and guide the team in processes and procedures.
• Understand retirement fund daily processing, including contributions and defaults per S13A of the PFA.
• Guide Administrators in Death claims processing per S37 of the PFA.
• Resolve member and employer queries expeditiously.
• Perform reconciliations on member transactions to resolve complex queries.
• Coach Administrators in day-to-day functions.
• Assist Administration Manager with daily oversight and standby when needed.
• Ensure risk management controls are in place.
• Assess, quality check and authorise payment of claims.
• Provide factual feedback to clients and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal/external stakeholders.
• Deliver on SLAs and meet client expectations.
• Recommend improvements to client experience and fair treatment of clients.
