RecruitMyMom in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Retail Planner to optimize sales, profitability, and inventory productivity through data-driven strategies. You will report to the Head of Planning and rely on a methodical, analytical approach to support operational and commercial decisions.

You will collaborate with Buying, Retail Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure effective resource allocation and accurate stock levels while maintaining planning systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in merchandise or retail planning.
• A degree in Commerce, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or Economics.
• Advanced Excel proficiency is essential.
• Experience with merchandise planning systems is advantageous.
• Analytical, data-driven mindset with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Drive Strategy: develop and manage annual, seasonal, and monthly merchandise plans to hit sales, margin, and inventory targets.
• Optimise Inventory: manage stock investment to maximise stock turn and minimise excess inventory.
• Analyse Performance: translate data into actionable insights and present strategic recommendations to management.
• Collaborate: partner with Buying, Retail Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain for total business alignment.
• Lead & Develop: mentor Junior Planners and promote continuous improvement.
