Placements24 is seeking a Senior Retail Loss Prevention Officer in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will develop and manage loss prevention programs, investigate incidents, monitor CCTV, and train staff to prevent theft while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires 4+ years in retail loss prevention or security, strong investigative skills, and a valid driver’s license. You will work nights and weekends as needed in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in retail loss prevention, security or law enforcement.
• Experience conducting investigations, interviewing, and handling evidence.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques, CCTV and alarm systems.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of SA laws related to theft and apprehension.
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical conduct.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain loss prevention programs for Polokwane region.
• Investigate theft, fraud and policy violations; gather evidence and prepare reports.
• Monitor CCTV and perform floor observations to deter theft.
• Apprehend suspected shoplifters in accordance with policy and law.
• Audit store security procedures, inventory controls and cash handling.
• Train staff on loss prevention procedures and emergency response.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and security partners as needed.
• Analyze loss trends to identify high-risk areas and propose measures.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to loss prevention.
