Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Retail Loss Prevention Officer to join our client’s team in Rustenburg, North West. This hands-on role protects assets, deters theft, and maintains a secure retail environment.

You will monitor activity, deter shoplifters, and contribute to investigations while following policy and legal guidelines. The ideal candidate has retail security experience, strong observation, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail loss prevention or security required.
• Knowledge of theft detection and prevention methods.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.
• Ability to follow policy and legal guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store activities to detect theft and loss.
• Apprehend suspected shoplifters following policy and law.
• Conduct investigations into loss or misconduct.
• Perform store patrols and security checks.
• Install and monitor CCTV and other security equipment.
• Develop strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage.
• Train staff on loss prevention procedures.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and records.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when needed.
• Ensure safety and security compliance in Rustenburg stores.
