Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Reservoir Engineer for a remote-first, globally distributed team. You will steer reservoir engineering on complex projects, optimize production, and lead technical efforts across modeling, audits, and EOR strategies.

With 10+ years in Oil & Gas, you’ll mentor others, collaborate with geoscience and production teams, and contribute to asset development decisions while maintaining rigorous economic evaluations and uncertainty analyses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive reservoir engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Expertise in reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, INTERSECT) and uncertainty analysis.
• Ability to develop robust field development plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and remote collaboration skills.
• Experience with economic evaluation concepts is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data analytics and ML applications in reservoir engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction for reservoir engineering on assigned projects.
• Develop and manage detailed reservoir models for simulation and forecasting.
• Conduct reserves audits and evaluations to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze well performance and implement EOR strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence.
• Prepare technical reports for stakeholders and regulators.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve reservoir management.
• Contribute to asset development and divestment decisions.
• Maintain strong communication within a distributed team.
