Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Remote Project Manager to lead cutting-edge technology projects from South Africa. The role requires overseeing complex initiatives from inception to deployment, coordinating distributed teams, and driving results in a virtual environment.

You will manage budgets, align with strategic goals, and foster collaboration across stakeholders. A minimum of 8 years in tech project management, Agile/Scrum expertise, and strong remote leadership are essential for success

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive project management experience in technology and software projects.
Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale initiatives remotely.
Expertise in Agile/Scrum and proficient with Jira/Confluence.
Strong leadership, communication and remote collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in CS/IT; PMP or Agile cert is a plus.
Experience in cloud, data analytics, or cybersecurity projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects using Agile methods.
Manage cross-functional, globally distributed teams with strong communication.
Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria aligned to strategy.
Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies in a remote setting.
Ensure budget control, resource allocation, and stakeholder updates throughout lifecycle.
Drive continuous improvement of delivery processes for remote teams.
