Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Remote Insurance Product Manager to lead the development and lifecycle management of innovative insurance products from a home office. This fully remote role focuses on South Africa, requiring deep market knowledge, regulatory awareness, and strong cross-functional leadership across marketing, sales, underwriting, and technology.

You will define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, drive market insight and opportunity identification, and ensure successful product

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong understanding of insurance products, market dynamics, and SA regulatory landscape.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and roadmaps for a portfolio of insurance products.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis and customer segmentation to identify opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into product specifications and user stories.
• Manage end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and optimization.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop go-to-market strategies and launches.
• Monitor product performance and iterate to enhance value and profitability.
