Placements24 is seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer to join their fully remote team and contribute to DeFi/Web3 projects. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable blockchain apps and smart contracts, collaborating with a global, asynchronous engineering group to drive innovation and best practices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software, with 3+ in blockchain, strong Solidity or Rust skills, and solid Go/JS/Python capabilities, plus a focus on security and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in blockchain development.
• Expertise in smart contract development (Solidity) and familiarity with Ethereum/Polygon.
• Strong coding in Go, JavaScript or Python; design and implement complex decentralized applications.
• Solid understanding of cryptography, security risks, and mitigation in blockchain.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable blockchain solutions and dApps.
• Write secure, efficient, and well-tested smart contracts using Solidity or Rust.
• Optimize blockchain protocols and applications for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers.
