Job summary

Bidvest Bank is seeking a Regulatory Manager to support the Head of Regulatory Reporting in delivering accurate, timely regulatory submissions to the Prudential Authority and the Corporation for Deposit Insurance. You will interpret requirements, monitor developments, and drive sustainable reporting solutions across the bank.

You will collaborate with finance, risk, data, and technology teams to improve data quality, implement automation, and ensure governance.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Risk, Finance or Quantitative field with professional qualifications (CFA/FRM/PRMIA/FIA/FASSA) and strong analytical foundation.
• 5–8 years of regulatory reporting, risk management, compliance, finance or prudential regulation experience.
• 3 years of management or leadership experience.
• Experience interpreting Banks Act regulations and Prudential Authority directives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and submission of regulatory returns to authorities.
• Drive reporting improvements for accurate capital calculations and RWA optimisation.
• Maintain robust regulatory reporting controls and Banks Act compliance.
• Coordinate responses to regulator inquiries and audits.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Data, IT to ensure data accuracy.
• Lead reporting automation initiatives and governance documentation.
