You will build DCF/IRR models, assess market dynamics in the Eastern Cape and nationally, monitor assets, and prepare investment memos for the committee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate or related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in real estate investment analysis or related field.
• Strong Excel-based financial modeling and data analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

The analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research, financial modeling, and due diligence to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities. You will play a key role in shaping the company's investment strategy by providing comprehensive analysis and recommendations on various real estate assets. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial analysis and modeling for potential real estate acquisitions and developments, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, IRR calculations, and sensitivity testing.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify investment trends, assess market dynamics, and pinpoint attractive opportunities within the Eastern Cape region and nationally.
• Evaluate property performance, identify value-add strategies, and recommend investment decisions to the acquisitions team.
• Prepare detailed investment committee memos and presentations, clearly articulating the rationale and risks associated with potential deals.
• Analyze existing portfolios, monitor market conditions, and provide strategic insights to optimize investment returns.
• Undertake thorough due diligence, including reviewing financial statements, lease agreements, property inspections, and legal documentation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and other industry professionals in Port Elizabeth and beyond.
• Assist in the asset management of the company's existing portfolio, providing analytical support and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related quantitative discipline; a Master's degree or CFA designation is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in real estate investment analysis, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on real estate.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of real estate valuation methodologies, market analysis, and investment principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information concisely.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
