Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client in Klerksdorp, North West. You will manage all costs for building and civil projects, from initial estimates to final accounts, ensuring financial viability and value for money.

The role requires 7+ years in commercial construction, deep contract knowledge (FIDIC, JBCC), strong negotiation and budgeting skills, and the ability to advise senior management. SACQSP affiliation is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in commercial construction.
• Knowledge of FIDIC and JBCC contracts.
• Ability to manage costs from inception to completion.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with cost management software and MS Office.
• SACQSP affiliation advantageous.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a significant portion focused on commercial construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of various forms of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JBCC).
• Proven ability to manage project costs effectively from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market rates.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
