Deloitte Africa is seeking a Senior Manager – Quality & Risk EQR Support to lead audit quality initiatives and provide advanced technical support to audit teams. The role involves coaching staff, conducting Engagement Quality Reviews, and ensuring compliance with ISAs and applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered CA(SA) with 4–7 years in management, 5 years in client-facing roles, and a proven track record in external audit leadership.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) registered and eligible to practice in SA.
• 4–7 years in a management role.
• 5 years in a client facing role; 3 in external audit management desired.
• Expert knowledge of audit processes and standards.
• Experience auditing listed and non-listed entities.
• Proven analytical skills and adaptability to change.
• PCAOB accreditation beneficial.
• Strong organization, planning, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide audit technical support and targeted interventions to Deloitte Africa's public audit practice.
• Assist EQR Partners to perform Engagement Quality Reviews on complex audits.
• Offer deep technical and specialized support to audit teams to ensure standards compliance and quality audits.
• Coach engagement teams to improve audit documentation quality.
• Review financial statements and related deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and deliver training for accredited EQRs.
• Lead and develop team members to deliver exceptional client service.
