Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Analyst to join its laboratory team in Kimberley. The role focuses on performing analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.

You will work with HPLC, GC, UV-Vis and wet chemistry, document results, calibrate equipment, investigate OOS findings, and assist with method validation and transfers in a GMP/GLP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
• Minimum 5 years in QC lab, preferably pharma.
• Proficient with HPLC, GC, and dissolution testing.
• Strong GMP/GLP knowledge and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in Kimberley . This role is responsible for performing critical analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet predetermined specifications and regulatory standards. You will play a vital role in upholding the quality and safety of our client's pharmaceutical offerings through precise and reliable analytical work. Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analytical tests using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods.
• Analyze raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to approved specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Accurately document all testing activities, results, and observations in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assist in method validation and transfer activities as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related science field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and dissolution apparatus.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and relevant quality control principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a laboratory setting in Kimberley .
