Placements24, based in Durban, South Africa, seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to establish and maintain top quality throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance in a hybrid Durban environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field.
• ≥6 years' experience in QA/QC within industrial manufacturing.
• Expertise in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Strong knowledge of SQC, Six Sigma and Lean principles.
• Proficient in RCA methodologies (8D, FMEA, Ishikawa).
• Proficiency with QA software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage QMS per international standards (ISO 9001).
• Oversee QA activities: inspections, audits and performance monitoring.
• Lead CAPA through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to define quality control points and criteria.
• Deliver quality training programs to manufacturing personnel.
• Analyze quality data and report KPIs to management.
• Ensure compliance with customer specs, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Manage external quality audits and certifications.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and champion a culture of quality.
