Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team in Richards Bay, ensuring products meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. This on-site role drives continuous improvement across QA, production, and R&D, and oversees audits and certifications such as ISO 9001.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in chemical manufacturing, robust QMS knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7 years QA in chemical manufacturing.
• Proven leadership in QA management.
• Deep knowledge of QMS and regulatory requirements relevant to chemical industry.
• Experience with ISO 9001 certification and audits.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and team leadership.
• Proficiency with quality control tools and statistics software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA policies and procedures.
• Lead QA team with training and performance reviews.
• Oversee incoming materials, in-process tests, final release.
• Conduct internal audits for compliance.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement CAPAs.
• Collaborate with R&D and production to meet specs.
• Manage external audits and maintain ISO 9001 certification.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Ensure QA activities comply with regulations and maintain records.
