Job summary

Momentum is seeking an experienced QA professional to own end-to-end testing of the MWL Platform, with emphasis on Gemstone and Visualworks workflows, data validation and integration testing across legacy systems. The role demands strong technical testing, API/UI automation and a solid foundation in data integrity, performance, and regression testing.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline preferred.
Testing certification such as ISTQB or ISEB preferred.
8–10+ years’ testing experience, including strong technical testing, integration testing, data validation and regression testing experience.
Experience testing financial services, investment administration, wealth management or platform-based solutions strongly preferred.
Exposure to Gemstone, Visualworks or comparable legacy/platform technologies within an integrated financial services environment advantageous.

Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end manual and automated testing across the MWL Platform, with specific focus on Gemstone and Visualworks.
Execute testing across platform functionality, integrations, data flows, batch processes, calculations, reliability, stability, compatibility and regression impact areas.
Conduct gap analysis between requirements and existing solutions.
Ensure user stories are testable, with clear acceptance criteria.
Define and enforce quality standards in PI planning and sprint cycles.
Develop and maintain: Test plans, Test scenarios, Test cases, Execution results and traceability.
Build and maintain automation frameworks and reusable test assets.
Execute and maintain automated regression suites.
Implement API and UI automation testing aligned to engineering standards.
Validate integration points across legacy and external systems.
Build technical understanding of Gemstone and Visualworks components to design effective test coverage across front-end behaviour, backend processing, interfaces and operational handoffs.
Validate investment, client, policy, product and transactional data across Gemstone, Visualworks and downstream systems.
Perform data integrity, reconciliation and calculation testing, including validation of business rules, financial values, workflow outputs and exception scenarios.
Use SQL and database tools to validate backend data accuracy, investigate defects and confirm data movement across integrations.
Actively participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, PI planning.
Contribute to team predictability through test coverage insights.
Drive early defect detection and prevention practices.
Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts.
Demonstrate test outcomes and solution quality to stakeholders.
Promote collective ownership of quality within the squad.
Report on QA trends and continuously improve testing practices.
Support automation strategy and QA CoP initiatives.
Apply AI tools for test case generation, test data creation, defect prediction and risk-based testing.
Use AI to improve test coverage, speed, and accuracy.
Leverage AI-assisted automation for self-healing test scripts, smart element identification, maintenance reduction.
Use AI and analytics to identify defect patterns, predict high-risk areas, improve release confidence.
Ensure AI governance: outputs validated, bias mitigated, AI-generated tests meet quality standards.
Use AI-assisted development and testing tools to reduce cycle time and improve efficiency.
