We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Test Analyst to ensure the end-to-end quality of the MWL Platform, with a specific focus on MWL applications including Gemstone and Visual works. This role is critical for comprehensive functional, integration, regression, data, and non-functional testing, supporting reliable, scalable, and stable platform capabilities for advisers, operations teams, and client-facing investment services. The successful candidate will drive quality engineering practices, improve defect prevention, strengthen test coverage, and support safe delivery across the platform's legacy, integrated, and modernized components. This position will involve a hybrid way of working.
Responsibilities
Test Delivery & Quality Assurance:
- Perform end-to-end manual and automated testing across the MWL Platform, specifically Gemstone and Visual works.
- Execute testing across functionality, integrations, data flows, batch processes, calculations, reliability, stability, compatibility, and regression impact areas.
- Conduct gap analysis between requirements and existing solutions, ensuring user stories have clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Define and enforce quality standards throughout PI planning and sprint cycles.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, execution results, and traceability matrices.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks and reusable test assets.
- Execute and maintain automated regression suites.
- Implement API and UI automation testing aligned with engineering standards.
- Validate integration points across legacy and external systems.
- Develop a strong technical understanding of Gemstone and Visual works components to design effective test coverage.
Data, Integration & Calculation Validation:
- Validate investment, client, policy, product, and transactional data across Gemstone, Visual works, and downstream systems.
- Perform data integrity, reconciliation, and calculation testing, including business rules, financial values, workflow outputs, and exception scenarios.
- Utilize SQL and database tools for backend data validation, defect investigation, and confirmation of data movement across integrations.
Agile & Delivery Contribution:
- Actively participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and PI planning.
- Contribute to team predictability through comprehensive test coverage insights.
- Drive early defect detection and prevention practices within the squad.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts.
- Demonstrate test outcomes and solution quality to stakeholders.
- Promote collective ownership of quality within the team.
- Report on QA trends and continuously improve testing practices.
- Support automation strategy and Quality Assurance Community of Practice (QA CoP) initiatives.
AI-Enabled QA Responsibilities:
- Apply AI tools for test case generation, test data creation, and defect prediction/risk-based testing to improve coverage, speed, and accuracy.
- Leverage AI-assisted automation for self-healing test scripts, smart element identification, and maintenance reduction.
- Use AI and analytics to identify defect patterns, predict high-risk areas, and improve release confidence.
- Ensure AI outputs are validated, explainable, mitigate bias, and meet quality standards for AI-generated tests.
- Utilize AI-assisted development and testing tools to reduce cycle time and improve efficiency.
