Placements24 is partnering with a reputable law firm in Vereeniging, Gauteng, seeking a Senior Conveyancer and Notary Public to lead the property law department. You will oversee all property transfers, handle bond registrations and cancellations, draft deeds and notarial documents, and mentor the conveyancing team while ensuring Deeds Office compliance.

The role requires Admitted Attorney or qualified Conveyancer and Notary Public, with at least 7 years in conveyancing and notarial practice,

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney or qualified Conveyancer and Notary Public of the High Court of SA.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in conveyancing and notarial practice.
• Strong knowledge of property law and Deeds Office procedures.
• Proficient in drafting and executing conveyancing documents.
• Ability to manage demanding caseload and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage all property transfers including sectional title and full title.
• Handle bond registrations and cancellations.
• Draft and vet deeds of sale, notarial bonds, and powers of attorney.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, financial institutions, and Deeds Office.
• Oversee conveyancing team and provide mentorship.
• Stay updated on property law and Deeds Office directives.
• Manage sectional title schemes and levies.
• Attend to notarial contracts and wills.
