About the Role

Our client is a technology-driven organization based in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA, seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee critical technology implementation projects. This role is paramount in ensuring the successful deployment of new technologies and systems that support business growth and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex IT projects, from planning and procurement to implementation and post-go-live support. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure seamless integration of new technological solutions. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, and presents an excellent opportunity to drive technological advancements in the Limpopo, ZA region. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of technology implementation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Manage and coordinate cross-functional project teams, including IT specialists, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Oversee the selection and management of technology vendors and third-party service providers.
• Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Monitor project progress against milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular status updates to senior management.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure successful system deployment and integration.
• Manage project documentation, including technical specifications, project reports, and change logs.
• Champion best practices in project management and technology deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a focus on technology implementations.
• Proven success in managing complex software, hardware, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, software development lifecycles, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Asana.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and contracts effectively.
• Experience working in or with businesses in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA is an advantage.
• PMP or similar project management certification is desirable.
