About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive Project Manager to manage technology-focused projects for their operations in Durban . This role is crucial for driving the implementation of new systems, software upgrades, and infrastructure improvements that enhance operational efficiency and technological capabilities. You will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution and successful adoption of new technologies. This position is ideal for a project manager with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for delivering innovative solutions within a dedicated team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize technology projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Acquire and develop project resources, including staffing, by collaborating with functional managers and third‑party vendors.
• Define project objectives and deliverables, ensuring they support the business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and associated communication documents, effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
• Manage the execution of projects, including the procurement of necessary materials and resources, and oversee contractors and vendors.
• Identify and manage all project dependencies and critical path activities, proactively mitigating risks and resolving issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management , specifically managing IT and technology-related projects.
• Proven experience with project management software and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and system implementations.
