Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale solar energy initiatives across Limpopo, based in Polokwane. You will drive end-to-end delivery, from feasibility through commissioning, coordinating EPCs, contractors, and authorities while ensuring time, budget, and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or related field.
• Master's degree or PMP certification is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on renewable energy or large infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of delivering complex solar PV projects from development to operation.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, project finance, contract negotiation, and EPC management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead the development and execution of large-scale solar energy projects across Limpopo province. Based in Polokwane , this role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and meticulous execution to bring complex renewable energy projects from inception through to successful commissioning. You will manage all phases of project development, including site selection, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and grid interconnection. Working closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and contractors, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, significantly contributing to the growth of sustainable energy in the region.
