About the Role

Our client, a leading consultancy firm in the South Africa region, is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure development projects. This pivotal role is based in our vibrant office in Kimberley, Northern Cape , but offers a flexible working arrangement with our 'Hybrid' policy. You will be instrumental in driving projects from inception to successful completion, ensuring they align with strategic objectives, budgets, and timelines. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple infrastructure development projects concurrently, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and detailed work breakdown structures.
• Manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure project success.
• Coordinate and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation for all assigned projects.
• Monitor project progress, prepare regular status reports, and communicate project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically in managing large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, utilities, public facilities).
• Proven experience managing projects in the Northern Cape region is highly preferred.
• Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate challenging project environments.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with contract negotiation and management.
