Our client, a leading institution within the financial services sector, is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to spearhead innovative projects focused on digital transformation, product development, and regulatory compliance in Sandton. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of key strategic projects within the financial services domain, including digital initiatives, new product launches, and system upgrades.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and senior management.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to established methodologies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Coordinate and lead diverse project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and technology vendors.
• Ensure robust change management processes are implemented for successful adoption of project outcomes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 6 years specifically within the financial services industry (banking, investment, insurance).
• Proven success in managing complex projects related to fintech, digital transformation, regulatory compliance (e.g., POPIA, FICA), or product innovation.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects with budgets exceeding R50 million.
• In-depth understanding of financial services products, processes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience working in the Gauteng financial hub is highly valued.
