About the Role

Our client, a dynamic player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of critical business systems in PortElizabeth, EasternCape. This role is central to driving efficiency and integrating new technological solutions across various departments. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and vendor selection to system configuration, deployment, and user training. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ERP, CRM, or similar enterprise systems and have a proven track record of managing complex software implementation projects. We are looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and leadership skills to ensure the successful adoption of new business systems, fostering operational excellence in PortElizabeth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of business systems implementation projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage all aspects of the implementation lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, configuration, and testing.
• Oversee vendor selection and manage vendor relationships throughout the project duration.
• Develop and execute comprehensive change management and user training strategies.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports to senior leadership.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, business users, and IT personnel.

• Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure successful system adoption and stabilization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on implementing enterprise business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, SCM).
• Proven ability to manage complex software implementation projects from start to finish.
