Datonomy Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a BI enablement and scorecard reporting project across retail and pharmaceutical distribution operations. The role is contract and onsite based in Cape Town, with travel to Johannesburg as needed.

You will coordinate business reporting requirements, data and technical delivery, testing and implementation, directly engaging with C-suite sponsors to translate strategic priorities into practical delivery plans.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of project management experience delivering complex business and technology projects.

• Strong understanding of data dependencies, reporting validation and testing activities.

• A hands-on delivery approach suited to a lean environment.
• Willingness to work onsite four days per week and travel to Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project from initiation and planning through implementation, handover and closure.
• Coordinate stakeholders across retail, distribution, Finance, technology and data teams.
• Facilitate agreement on scorecard measures, reporting requirements, priorities and acceptance criteria.
• Manage delivery of the data integration, reporting and BI capabilities needed to support business outcomes.
• Coordinate technical teams and vendors, tracking milestones, dependencies and delivery commitments.
• Oversee data validation, integration testing, user acceptance testing and defect resolution.
• Maintain project governance, risk and issue logs, resource plans and executive reporting.
• Engage executive sponsors to resolve decisions, manage expectations and alignment.
• Support reporting adoption, business readiness and transition into operational support.
• Travel to Johannesburg for stakeholder engagement and delivery activities as required.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a Business Intelligence enablement and scorecard reporting project across retail and pharmaceutical distribution operations.

This is a contract role, onsite based in Cape Town.

The role will coordinate business reporting requirements, data and technical delivery, testing and implementation. The successful candidate must be comfortable working directly with C-suite executives and translating strategic reporting priorities into practical delivery plans.

Retail experience and a proven delivery record are highly valued. Familiarity with Snowflake is beneficial, while broader BI and reporting delivery experience is central to the role.

Preferred Experience

• Retail and/or pharmaceutical distribution experience.

• Experience delivering business scorecards and performance reporting.

• Exposure to Snowflake or comparable enterprise data platforms.

• Candidates without retail experience must demonstrate strong executive engagement and delivery experience, ideally on CIO-sponsored projects.
